[title]
Flying the flag for kawaii (cute) culture, this Japanese caff on Exmouth Market is decked out with butterfly-shaped chandeliers, heart-shaped coasters and all manner of other pink or cutsie things. It may be small, but the menu is long, listing everything from donburi to curry, bento or noodle dishes.
A filling bowl of oyakodon saw generous chunks of chicken encased in sweetened just-set egg atop a steaming bowl of rice – a snip at £7.50. There’s also a good range of sweet treats with Japanese flavourings, such as green tea cake, and drinks including thick yuzu milkshake.
